Båstad's old course, designed by the architects Hawtree & Taylor, is one of the best parkland courses in Sweden. Prince Gustav Adolf, now King Gustav VI Adolf, opened the course in 1930. Ludvig Nobel, brother of Alfred Nobel, instigated the formation of the golf club.
In 1990, Gustav VI Adolf's son, Count Carl-Johan Bernadotte, opened the New Course, designed by Tommy Nordström. This coincided with the club's 60th anniversary.
